Back to school | ditch the specs?

If your kid is all about sports but hindered by their glasses, there might be an alternative solution for them – night lenses! Imagine your child having clear vision throughout the day without the need for glasses or contact lenses. This new innovation is making waves, enabling them to enjoy sports without the hassle of sporty eyewear, see their teammates and the ball perfectly, all while not worrying about mud, broken glasses, and even being able to open their eyes underwater with sharp clarity.

Wait, hold on a sec. Are you saying no more glasses or daytime lenses?

Absolutely! Night lenses are powered by a process called Orthokeratology (sometimes known as Ortho-K lenses in medical circles).

In simple terms, you pop in the lens before going to bed and sleep soundly. Overnight, the outer layer of cells on your eye naturally sheds and fresh cells grow. As you snooze, the night lens gently shapes your eye by molding these cells – no harm, no foul – giving you impeccable vision. Wake up, remove the lens, and you’re good to go. Experience clear and natural vision all day without the hassle of glasses or daytime lenses. Repeat this routine each night (because the outer cells shed daily), just like your routine for brushing your teeth or wearing daily lenses.

Yes, it’s safe. No, it’s not permanent (the effect fades within 48 hours as your eye returns to its natural state). No, it’s not a new and untested concept – it’s been around for two decades, and recent advancements have pushed it even further. If you haven’t come across anyone using them, here, you can read about other young individuals (ages 5-18) whose lives have been transformed by night lenses, including my son Benjamin (the surfer) – I’m a real person writing this, not an automated marketing bot! ????

P.S. They’re eco-friendly too: only 2 small lenses per year compared to potentially multiple pairs of broken glasses or 730 daily lenses ending up in the sewer (not cool!) or a landfill.

Sounds good: show me some teenagers whose lives have been changed by them:

If you’ve got half a minute, click that play button below. Check out Jess experiencing clear vision without any lenses for the first time when she removes them. It’s pretty awesome – and it’s solid proof that yes, these lenses really do work:

Seriously though, how do they work?

IMPORTANT PARENT NOTE: Night lenses can also help to control Myopia (short sight)

I was devastated to learn that my son had ‘Myopia’, and we didn’t know. ‘Short sight’ is what our optometrist called it casually, and we didn’t think much of it; we simply got him glasses. The medical term for short sight is Myopia, and it’s linked to future eye diseases and can also be controlled and stabilized. My son, now 16, has stabilized. If we hadn’t switched him to night lenses, without glasses or daytime lenses, he wouldn’t have been able to read the eye chart at 40, let alone the top line! He can now read a couple of lines down. If we had started him on night lenses 5 years earlier, he would have stabilized around -2.00D and have vision just above the legal driving limit. My advice to other parents? Begin early.
